INDIANAPOLIS-Mayor Greg Ballard of Indianapolis has guaranteed an $86-million loan for a mixed-use project close to the south edge of downtown Indianapolis, where Eli Lily's headquarters is located.

The $155-million proposal named North of South will sit on a 14-acre land and will measure 600,000 square feet, which would feature 320 luxury apartments, hotel, retail and office spaces. Buckingham Cos. of Indianapolis is the developer of the project. The city will also sanction $9 million in tax money for infrastructure developments.
